- I took a trip with my parents through the national parks in Utah and Colorado. The diversity and scale of the natural space out there is awesome. I think the national parks in the US are incredibly well done, and far better than most parks around the world. We did Arches, the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Mesa Verde, and the Great Sand Dunes. We also did the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs- but that’s not a national park.
- My parents and I all got really sick on the trip- like fever and chills kind of flu. The thing is, it was actually kind of nice in a way- not being sick, but just taking the time to rest. It forces you to rest. I actually really enjoyed cooking food and eating in with my parents in the hotel rooms.
- Southwestern cuisine is delicious. I missed it- authentic southwestern food is hard to find anywhere outside the US.
