August 10-13, Copenhagen

***updated

  • MJ and I headed to Copenhagen, armed with some advice from Doug about where to hang out. Our first night, we found a local bar with live music every night. The night that we went is a local jam session. We ended up talking with the folks there- a lot of local musicians, even the bartenders were musicians. Long story short, we played a 2DC original and sat in with the local wrecking crew for a few. We got in a pretty long conversation with the musicians, and the guitar and bass player told us about their gig the following night- at a bar/cafe on a boat in the river. So we went to that too, and it was really good music.
  • Food in Copenhagen is outstanding. For three straight evenings, we stumbled into random places with incredible food-
  • The museums here are also amazingly well curated and run- the Danish Museum of Art and Design, and the National Gallery of Denmark made a huge impression.
